The time has come to apply for winter jobs at Deer Valley! With over 50 various positions open and more opening in September and October for this upcoming 2022-23 winter season, there’s a position suited for just about everyone interested in joining the Deer Valley family. Job options include indoor, outdoor, full-time, and part-time, along with year-round positions.

All jobs have great perks and benefits, including 401k, health insurance, retail & restaurant discounts, lift passes, and more! Here are our top picks of jobs to snag this winter, plus highlights of many other job opportunities.


SKIER SERVICES JOBS


Experienced Ski Instructor. For anyone with a passion for skiing and experience teaching ski lessons—this is the ideal job. Spend the entire day skiing on Deer Valley’s mountain playground, sharing the fun sport of skiing with students who are eager to learn. Deer Valley is in need of ski instructors, especially experienced ones, but does have positions available for aspiring ski instructors with no experience willing to go through Deer Valley’s incredible ski instructor program

Children’s Center Attendant. Entertain children indoors before or after ski lessons, along with non-skiing children. A typical day would involve play, art projects, singing, dancing, and general fun entertainment. Staff will work with children ranging from two months old to 12 years old, with the opportunity to work with age groups they feel most comfortable caring for.

  • MOUNTAIN OPERATIONS JOBS

    Chairlift Operator. Get some fresh air and scenery while working, along with frequent breaks and lots of interaction with guests and colleagues. Although safety and protocol are top priorities, chairlift operators have a lot of fun and even get to participate in silly, but amusing, annual sporting events.

    CULINARY JOBS

    Cook. Deer Valley needs cooks and is looking at all levels of experience. Deer Valley has a great reputation for excellence in food and beverage and has kickstarted many an aspiring chef’s career. With numerous open positions within the F&B department, this winter is a great opportunity to learn and grow with our talented team. Plus, many non-tipped positions pay $20 or more per hour. Deer Valley has several restaurants open year-round, so there are year-round job opportunities as well.

    LODGING JOBS

    Housekeeping. One of the highest paying entry-level jobs at Deer Valley is housekeeping. If you have a knack for cleaning and keeping things tidy, this could be the position for you. With over 400 units under management, the resort’s housekeeping team is smooth-running and efficient. Help provide a safe and clean environment for guests, members, and employees by applying now.

    Front Desk Service Agent. Staff working in this position play a key role in helping to make guests’ trips more memorable. Along with assisting with checking guests in and out, creativity and attention to detail are important skills for assisting in concierge duties. No day is ever the same – perhaps you may help a couple make a romantic dinner reservation or help save the day by running to the store to replace a child’s lost toy.

    MAINTENANCE JOBS


    Building Maintenance. From technical maintenance to general upkeep, Deer Valley works diligently on lodges, buildings, and equipment to keep everything in tip-top condition throughout the winter. As a member of the team, you’ll get to work with homeowners, destination guests, and staff members.

    Spa Technician. Join the maintenance team and help maintain hot tubs, patios, and decks. Staff in this role should have at least basic level maintenance skills and good mechanical aptitude. Daily responsibilities will include maintenance and upkeep of spas, along with repairs as needed. Experience with spas is helpful but not required.

    YEAR-ROUND JOBS


    For jobs that start sooner and extend beyond the winter months, Deer Valley has many positions open for year-round employment including housekeeping, maintenance technician, recruitment, supervisor and management positions, and more.     It’s never too early to apply for winter 2022-23 indoor and outdoor jobs, as those positions are open for applications now. Deer Valley also has upcoming job fairs happening this fall:

    Outdoor Drive Thru Job Fairs (Snow Park Loading Zone in front of the Snow Park Lodge):

    • September 15, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4 - 6 p.m.

    Indoor Job Fairs (Fresh Tracks Kitchen dining area, restaurant located inside Snow Park Lodge):

    • October 13, 4 - 6 p.m.
    • November 10, 4 - 6 p.m.
