Mariposa Chef Tim Carpenter Competes in 4th Annual Chef Wars

Chef Tim Carpenter of The Mariposa at Deer Valley Resort faces off with local chefs in the fourth annual Chef Wars! event, a cooking competition benefiting Park City’s animal rescue organization, Nuzzles & Co.

A

Carpenter, along with Montage Deer Valley’s Shawn Armstrong and Waldorf Astoria Park City’s Michael Zachman, will attempt to top each other’s most delectable dishes. Three celebrity judges – Boxing is for Girls owner Eliza James, KPCW President and General Manager Larry Warren, and travel writer, Devour Utah magazine editor, and Salt Lake City Weekly restaurant critic Ted Scheffler – will determine the winner, and television host and producer Jenn Hardman will emcee.

Spectators have the chance to work alongside Carpenter and his rival chefs to participate in the event by bidding on three sous-chef, three chef assistants and two official taster roles at the beginning of the competition.

All event proceeds will benefit Nuzzles & Co., a “no-kill” animal rescue group dedicated to protecting lives and finding homes for more than 15,000 animals in need since 1990.
