Josh Spiker

Josh Spiker grew up bush whacking for fresh snow in the Appalachians before leaving to become a sailor in the U.S. Naval Submarine Service. The low snowfall in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean forced him to relocate to Alta, Utah in 2001. He has since spent winters in the Wasatch optimistically searching for a ski he lost ten years ago.  As a former USASA\USSA Coach and Judge for the Deep Creek Winter Sports Team in Deep Creek Lake, MD, Josh provided safe instruction of athletes in terrain park freestyle. He was the Head Coach for the team at USASA Nationals in 2009 at Copper Mountain, CO. In addition to his Deer Valley blogs Josh is the author of everylineinalta.com, a blog documenting the effort to ski all of Alta while learning and relating the historical significance of the areas many legendary runs. He currently resides in Cottonwood Heights, UT.
