My name is Chris Katzenberger and this will be my 7th season with Deer Valley Resort. My position here is Recruiting/Adult Programs Manager for Skier Services. Year round, I am hiring instructor staff where needed and working with some of our Specialty Adult Programs like the Mahre Training Center, Men’s and Women’s Weekend and Weekday programs and our Max 4 Adult group lesson program. We have quite an extensive children’s program so I also coordinate our Teen Escape product.
The blog will be a great opportunity to catch you up on events in our area
and around the Deer Valley Resort. Come out and join us at Deer Valley
Resort, the #1 ski resort in North America by the readers of SKI Magazine for an incredible third year in row.

This Christmas our family started talking about a trip out west for skiing next Christmas. We have always come out in February, so we where wondering what are the lift lines “really” like the week before Christmas and what are they like between Christmas and new years? Thanks for the info to help us plan our trip.
Craig
Hi Craig,
The week before Christmas tends to be the slower of those two weeks. With 21 lifts and an uphill capacity of 44,900 skiers per hour, Deer Valley strives to keep lift line waits less than 5 minutes. On our busiest days (typically the week between Christmas and New Years) we will sell out at approximately 7,500 skiers each day. Therefore, keeping lift lines very minimal. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks!
Hey Katz, How are you and all the kids? What are the job possibilities for an old goat like me for next season? Love you. All the best. Dave Mac
you should provide a RSS feed link on your blog site!
Thanks
There is a great blog post by a gal here in Seattle about Deer Valley being #1 and Bob Wheaton. You may want to link to it.

Just thought of you the other day, you probably don’t remember our float trip down the colorado river and the Grand Canyon…But I was one of what you called the Buffalo boys.. Anyway, I hope things are going well for you.
